LOCAL: Amarillo College will welcome Tell Bryant to the diamond next year as the senior has committed to play baseball as a Badger. Tell is a multi-sport varsity athlete for Hereford and was an all-district baseball player his junior year. He was also just named to the 2nd Team Academic All-State for football……Tomorrow marks opening-day of pheasant hunting on the Texas High Plains. The season will run through January 5th, of next year…This year the Celebration Class and other First Methodist Church members will host their 27th Annual Hunters and Community Breakfast. Classic breakfast grub like scrambled eggs, homemade cinnamon rolls and biscuits and gravy are on the menu and admission is by donation. The meal begins at 6:30 tomorrow morning……Funeral services for Oma Lee Lassiter, age 84, are Sunday at 2:00 at Parkside Chapel Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is at 1:00 at the funeral home on Sunday. Oma was a longtime Hereford resident and worked at Hereford Texas Federal Credit Union for 32 years and also worked at Caprock Spraying for more than two decades. She died Wednesday……Funeral services for Wanda Marie Burdine, age 90, will be Monday at 2:00 at the First Baptist Church. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 1:00. Wanda was a bank teller at Hereford State Bank for many years.
