LOCAL: KPAN recorded 1.72 inches of rain at 7:00 this morning in downtown Hereford. It’s a new 24-hour precipitation record shattering the previous record from 1962 at .46 of an inch. The November total now stands at 5.85 inches in downtown Hereford which is also a new record breaking the monthly total of 3.06 from 2004……City Commissioners meet for a 12-item agenda at 6:30 tonight at City Hall. They’ll discuss approval of four incentive packages from the Hereford Economic Development Corporation including one for a fifth car wash in Hereford and refurbishment of the other four car washes at a requested amount of $200,000. The meeting is open to the public……HISD Board of Trustees meet in a regular session this evening at 6:00 for a 12-item agenda at the Administration Building. The meeting is open to the public for the exception of the tabbed executive session……Funeral services for Erma Mitchell Hernandez, age 91, are today at 1:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Erma was a longtime area resident living in Friona and Hereford for much of her life. She was remembered as a trememndous cook and hardworking woman. She died last Thursday in Hereford……The Herd held on to win the bi-district playoff against El Paso Riverside on Friday night in Odessa, 28-20. Brylyn Lopez ran for 209 yards in the win and scored all four touchdowns for the Whitefaces.
