LOCAL: The Lady Whitefaces’ season came to an end last night when the Decatur Lady Eagles beat them in three sets in the regional semi-final playoff round; 25-20, 25-15, 25-7. Hereford finishes the season with a 26-21 record and Coach Emma Russell gets two playoff wins in her head coaching debut……The latest U.S. Drought Monitor release shows improving conditions in Deaf Smith County after early November rains. The map that’s valid through November 5th, shows a week-to-week improvement erasing all D2 conditions and now just 31.07% of the county is in the D1 category. The rest of Deaf Smith remains in the D0 classification. Approximately 4.5% of the state is in the worst category, D4……Funeral services for Teresa “Tere” Treviño, age 90, will be Thursday at 11:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. A visitation is tomorrow from 3:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. She died on Friday in Hereford……Funeral services for Russell “Rusty” Collier, age 62, are Friday at 2:00 at the First Baptist Church. Rusty was a longtime Hereford resident who died on Sunday in Seminole……The Festival of Trees is closed today ahead of tonight’s auction and dinner.
