LOCAL: KPAN recorded 1.48 inches of rain early Sunday morning from Saturday storms. Very heavy rain occurred near Dimmitt where several 4+ inch measurements were recorded. A tornado was also confirmed in Castro County just a few miles north of Nazareth just before 7:00 Saturday evening. Fair conditions and near normal temps will be featured through our seven-day forecast……The Whiteface Cross Country Teams dominated at the Roswell Invitational on Saturday with two team wins……The Lady Whitefaces fell in 5-sets to the #7 West Plains Lady Wolves on Saturday; 25-16, 10-25, 25-16, 24-26 and 13-15. They move to 1-2 in district play and are on the road to Pampa tomorrow evening……The Whitefaces won on Homecoming Friday night, 41-13, over Perryton. Hereford is now 4-0 with a bye week on hand before they’re on the road to Seminole next week……Brylyn Lopez and Marissa Marquez were crowned the Homecoming King and Queen…… Funeral services for Olivia Denning Riley, age 78, are tomorrow at 10:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.
