LOCAL: The 3-0 Hereford Whitefaces host the 1-2 Perryton Rangers for Homecoming tonight. The Rangers opened their season with a 45-44 win over Canyon, but have fallen to Dalhart and Randall the last two weeks. The Herd is coming off a 26-16 victory over Plainview, and will be back at home for the first time since Week 1. Kickoff is set for 7:00 on this last Friday of Summer. KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage with pre-game shows beginning at 6:15……Tonight’s Class Supper is supporting the Class of 2026 and will feature a meal of Frito Pie with cobbler and a drink for $10. After Sunday’s cooldown the Hereford area is back to near normal temps through next week……Funeral services for Shorty Maxwell, age 83, are tomorrow at 10:00 at Parkside Chapel. Viewing and visitation is today from 4:00-8:00 at the funeral home.
