LOCAL: The Lone Star Conference will have many familiar faces this year on the volleyball court. Six former Lady Whitefaces form the 2019 State Finals team will take the court in one way or another. Rainey Aven has moved on from her playing career and joins the coaching staff at Oklahoma Christian. Darcy Dodd is joined by Nickilah Whatley for her final season at Eastern New Mexico. Miranda Acosta has joined the Sul Ross State squad after Midland College. Camryn Blair is at LCU in Lubbock and Taytum Stow continues an illustrious career at WTAMU. Conference play begins next Wednesday, September 25th……Snack Pak 4 Kids Hereford is in dire need of monetary donations to restart the program that aids in feeding approximately 350 local children each week. Currently the program is not operating due to a shortage in funding and it costs $7k per month to support the program. Donations can be taken to the HISD Administration Building……Lady Whiteface Volleyball is on the road to Canyon this afternoon to take on the Lady Eagles at 7:00. KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage at 6:50……There’s a Blood Drive today from 10:00-5:00 and tomorrow from 12:00-7:00 at the Hereford Civic Center Ballroom. Donation time averages 10 minutes. Donors receive a We Bleed Maroon long sleeve shirt.
