LOCAL: The 1-0 Hereford Whitefaces travel to Lubbock tonight to take on the 1-0 Estacado Matadors on the gridiron. The Whitefaces are coming off a 49-28 win over Lubbock High in last week’s season opener, and the Matadors are coming off a close 14-7 win over Jim Ned. The West Texas Countdown to Kickoff begins at 6:15 followed by a visit with Coach Naron and live pre-game action from Lowrey Field at 6:45 on KPAN AM-FM……Herd Tennis prevailed over Borger yesterday with a 16-3 win in district action. The Whitefaces are on the road to Randall High School tomorrow for play beginning at 2:00……Funeral services for Ulises Sosa, age 45, are tomorrow morning at 10:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Ulises was a Hereford resident for several years and had worked at Barrett and Crofoot for more than four years. Ulises was a lifelong cowboy and remembered as a loving family man. Mr. Sosa died on Monday……A visitation for Flaco Panchito, age 62, is today from 1:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Flaco was a longtime Hereford resident who died on Monday……Lady Whiteface Volleyball is at home tonight for a 6:00 match at Whiteface Gym.
