LOCAL: The Lady Whitefaces battled hard against district leading Dumas but fell short in a 4-3 ballgame yesterday afternoon at Demonette Field in Dumas. Izzy Enriquez led the Hereford offense with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Lexi Vallejo and Karizma Treviño also had RBIs for the Lady Herd. Hereford sits out of the playoff picture at 4-7 in district play, while Dumas retains sole possession of 1st at 9-2……Registration is open for the next Stewarding Our Aquifer Field Day presented by Ogallala Commons at Wildcat Bluff Discovery Center in Amarillo on Tuesday. The April 16th session features demonstrations on stream flow control devices and is a natural follow-up to the recent Stewarding Our Water Future Conference held in Amarillo in March. The session runs from 9:30-1:30 and includes lunch. Registration is $30 at the door…… Funeral services for Charles Floyd “Chuck” Cosper, age 85, are this afternoon at 2:00 at the First Baptist Church. Chuck was remembered as a loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend.
