Unrelenting rainfall continued steadily for much of the day yesterday which helped push our storm total to 2.39 inches in downtown Hereford. Area totals of note include 3.6 inches 15 miles south of Claude, 3.23 at Goodnight, 2.89 at Umbarger, 2.5 inches at Dawn, 2 inches in Friona and 1.7 inches of rain at Dimmitt……Funeral services for Charles Floyd “Chuck” Cosper, age 85, are Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at the First Baptist Church. Visitation is today from 5:00-7:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Chuck was a Game Warden for 30 years and a pilot and flight instructor. He was a past president of the Hereford Kids Inc., and Hereford Whiteface Booster Club. Chuck was a proud Whiteface fan and earned “Fan of the Week.” He died on Sunday in Amarillo……Hereford High School’s UIL Academic Social Studies and Current Issues and Events Teams took the top spot at district competition on Friday.
