LOCAL: The Public is invited to tour the baseball/softball complex with Hereford City Commissioners at 5:45 this evening at the complex adjacent to the Caviness Sportsplex. Commissioners will then move back to City Hall for their regularly scheduled meeting of a 10-item agenda at 6:30……Work begins on the South Main and Tierra Blanca Creek bridge today and is closed to thru traffic for the foreseeable future……Funeral services for Joe Castillo, age 81, are Wednesday at 2:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Joe was a longtime Hereford resident and was a truck driver. A viewing is tomorrow from 4:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Mr. Castillo died on Wednesday in Hereford……The Herd beat Perryton, 8-2, in district baseball on Friday and moved back to .500 on the district campaign at 3-3. They’re on the road to face last place Borger tomorrow afternoon……The Lady Whitefaces (4-4) also moved back to .500 in league play with a 10-4 win over Perryton. They face the Lady Bulldogs at 4:30 tomorrow afternoon in Borger……Whiteface Track took the top spot in the Hereford Invitational on Thursday, edging out Canyon in 2nd by 1 point, 144 to 143. The 1600m Relay team of Jose Almaraz, Nicholas Torres, Arnulfo Salazar and Brayden Escamilla, Jeremiah Martinez in Shot Put, Luis Garcia in Discus, Escamilla in the 400m and Arnulfo Salazar in the 800m all took home event gold medals……KPAN salutes Blake Moore as the Good Neighbor of the Day……Device control and WIFI limits with the Smarthome App from WT Services.
