LOCAL: Tyi Duque received All-District honors for basketball this week. He was among three Whitefaces to receive post-season awards. Brylyn Lopez and Diego Villegas each were named to the Honorable Mention Team……The Lady Whitefaces fell to West Plains yesterday in district softball play, 12-2. Izzy Enriquez had a hit and an RBI to lead the offense. Hereford falls to 3-2 in district play and faces Randall at home on Friday afternoon……The Wolves beat the Whitefaces in baseball in a park just adjacent to the softball field. Hereford takes their first district loss from West Plains, 7-2. The Whitefaces, now 2-1, will also host Randall Friday afternoon……Funeral services for Soledad “Chole” Cervantes, age 77, are today at 11:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Chole was a longtime Hereford resident who’s remembered as a loving family woman, caring for them as her number one priority. She died on Friday in Hereford……Rain chances have all but disappeared for today due to a weaker than expected shortwave trough moving into the area today.
