WEATHER: (November 17, 2022) THURSDAY- High yesterday was 47° at 3:00; 

this morning’s low was 22° at 5:00. KPANcast: Clear and breezy.

LOCAL: A cold front will move south from the Dakotas today and should 

arrive to the Panhandle by late afternoon. After pushing south 

overnight, moisture and substantially colder temps will follow tomorrow. 

Snow chances are favored in the morning hours but possible for much of 

the day, and high temps will be near 27°. Both tomorrow and Saturday 

morning will be bitterly cold, with wind-chill values in or near single 

digits……Funeral services for Noel Esqueda, age 80, are today at 2:00 at 

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church……Funeral services for Guadalupe Muro 

Martinez, age 84, are tomorrow at 2:00 at San Jose Catholic 

Church……Funeral services for Gloria Arzola Barrientez, age 60, are 

Monday at 5:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Gloria was a 

lifelong Hereford resident. She died on Monday in Hereford……Herd 

Basketball and Herd Wrestling teams are being introduced tonight at the 

Herd Hoopla and Wrestle Mania. The winter version of Meet the Herd is 

set for 6:00 tonight at Whiteface Gym……CSF applications are available at 

Panhandle Community Services daily, and the Hereford Food Pantry 

tomorrow and Monday. Apps must be returned to PCS by 11/22……
