LOCAL: Hereford City Commissioners meet in regular session for a short
agenda today. The commission will convene in the Chamber at City Hall at
6:30 for a 6-item agenda, including considering approval for an
agreement between the HEDC and Whiteface Aviation, and extending city
water services to a property outside city limits on South Kingwood……The
Academy – Drum and Bugle Corps of Tempe, AZ, is performing at Whiteface
Stadium today from 1:00-2:15. The Academy is making a practice stop
prior to performing at West Texas Drums in Canyon this evening……Amarillo
College’s Kids’ Camp consists of Spanish lessons this week. The camp

the 16th Annual Cheeseburger Festival and Cook-off in Friona over the
weekend. The 9-man team from DSEC presented a double meat, double cheese

for judges……An Excessive Heat Watch is in effect for much of the area
today and tomorrow. Tomorrow is set to be the hottest day of this latest
stretch, with temps expected to top 107° in Hereford, and 115° in Palo
Duro Canyon. Chances for mountain thunderstorms will return over the
