LOCAL: The 19th Annual Tierra Blanca Classic is taking place this
weekend at the John Pitman Golf Course. The two-day, two man scramble
format is featuring a field of 108 teams with two shotgun starts on
Saturday and Sunday. The weekend tees off tomorrow with the Fun
Scramble. The golf course will be closed tomorrow through Monday……Two
women involved in an Oldham County drug bust were indicted in the US
District Court for the Northern District of Texas in Amarillo yesterday.
Martha Samantha Rosales and Zaida Alicia Valdez were pulled over on May
17th in Oldham County, when a DPS Trooper discovered more than 72 kilos
of Fentanyl in their vehicle. The women are charged with two felony drug
offenses……The Deaf Smith County Hospital District Board of Directors
meets today in regular session for a 12-item agenda at Hereford Regional
Medical Center at 5:30……Funeral services for Raymond Cantu, age 42, are
today at 10:00 at Good News Church. Mr. Cantu was a HHS Graduate and
worked at Southwest Cheese. He died on Monday in Bovina……Funeral
services for Ricardo “Smiley” Cerda, age 38, are tomorrow at 3:00 at
Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Smiley was a longtime
