LOCAL: The USPS has reinstated the Stamp Out Hunger program that was suspended during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. This Saturday, May 14th, postal carriers will pick-up bagged food items at mail boxes that are healthy and non-perishable. All donations are delivered to the Hereford Food Pantry……Funeral services for Minnie Enriquez Sandi, age 55, are tomorrow at 2:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Viewing is today from 1:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 6:00. She died Saturday in Amarillo……The Hermits Peak / Calf Canyon wildfire in northern New Mexico has now charred an estimated 260,000 acres. The fire is located just north of Las Vegas, and has been burning since the Hermits Peak fire began in early April. More than 1,800 firefighters are battling the blaze……The HISD Health Advisory Committee and Deaf Smith County AgriLife Extension are hosting a Family 5k Walk in the Park on Saturday. The community wide health fair begins at 10:00 at Dameron Park……The HHS Band is performing their spring concert tonight at the HHS auditorium.
