LOCAL: The Lady Whitefaces rallied with an 18 point 4th quarter last night to take down the Dumas Deamonettes, 42-36 for a district basketball win. Miranda Acosta had 20 points for the Lady Whitefaces in the game. They were down 24-31 at the end of the 3rd, holding the Deamonettes to 5 points in the 4th quarter defensively……Six HHS students earned a spot in the ATSSB All-State Band. Students advancing out of the Area Band include Kyara Arteaga on flute, Hailey Ysaguirre on clarinet, Xander Aleman on clarinet, Keely Burkhalter on bass clarinet, Will Blackmon on euphonium and Anika McNeely on French horn……Funeral services for Darlene Bravo, age 44, will be tomorrow at 2:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Darlene was a lifelong Hereford resident and graduated from HHS in 1995. She worked most recently for First Financial Bank in Hereford. A viewing is being held today from 3:00-8:00 with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Darlene died Sunday in Lubbock……The No. 19 Texas Tech Red Raiders knocked off the No. 1 in the country Baylor Bears last night in Waco, 65-62, ending the Bears’ 21-game win streak.
