LOCAL: Wind gusts peaked at 64 mph in Hereford during yesterday’s weather event. The highest gust recorded in the Panhandle yesterday was just outside of Sunray at 90 mph. Several wildfires broke out across the area including one in Oldham County, The Parker Creek Fire, that has burned an estimated 7k acres with 75% containment as of publishing. Firefighters from across the state were staged in the Panhandle ahead of yesterday’s event……Deaf Smith County Grand Jurors indicted 8 people to stand trial on felony charges yesterday. Charges ranged from possession of a controlled substance, felon in possession of a firearm, felony assault and failure to register as a sex offender……Funeral services for Domingo “Jay” Vasquez, Jr., age 44, are this morning at 10:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home……Funeral services for Gervacia Gaitan, age 81, are at 11:00 today at San Jose Catholic Church……Funeral services for Mickey Mireles, age 48, are today at 2:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home……Funeral services for Anita Schilling, age 98, are today at 3:00 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth……An 18 year-old female died from injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident in Oldham County on Tuesday.
