LOCAL: The Lady Whitefaces defeated Amarillo High in volleyball Saturday, winning in 4 sets. Miranda Acosta had 35 digs for the Lady Whitefaces. Micah Palacios had 24 assists and London Baker added 22. They’ll play at home tomorrow night at 7:00 against Tascosa……HHS nurse Lisa Formby has been reappointed to the Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome Advisory Council by Gov. Greg Abbott. The council advises lawmakers on research, diagnosis, treatment and education related to the syndrome. Her term is set to expire in August of 2023……The Texas Department of State Health Services has reported one additional death from COVID-19 for Deaf Smith County. The county death toll now at 69 since counting began last March……Graveside services for Victoria Urbanczyk Schmucker, age 77, are tomorrow at 1:00 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Victoria was a lifelong Hereford resident and HHS graduate. She died Thursday……Deaf Smith County Commissioners meet in regular session tomorrow at 9:00 for a 13-item agenda.
