LOCAL: The Hereford ISD Board of Trustees meet in special session on Thursday for a 6-item agenda at the Administration Building. The meeting will start with a public hearing on the proposed tax rate for Amarillo College’s Hereford Branch for the upcoming fiscal year. The board will also designate funds for the purchase of two new buses for the district……Funeral services for Gregg Melugin, age 61, are today at 2:00 at Messiah’s House Church in Amarillo. Gregg was a long-time Hereford resident and volunteer firefighter who died Thursday in Amarillo……Ogallala Commons and the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District are holding a Stewarding Our Aquifer Field Day at the FiberMax Center for Discovery tomorrow in Lubbock. The program kicks off at 9:00 with registration and runs until 1:00. Registration is $20 and can be paid at the door.
