LOCAL: The Hereford ISD Board of Trustees meet in special session on Thursday for a 6-item agenda at the Administration Building. The meeting will start with a public hearing on the proposed tax rate for Amarillo College’s Hereford Branch for the upcoming fiscal year. The board will also designate funds for the purchase of two new buses for the district……The Lady Whiteface volleyball team won two matches over the weekend. The 27-2 Lady Whitefaces beat Levelland and Monahans in three sets each……Ogallala Commons and the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District are holding a Stewarding Our Aquifer Field Day at the FiberMax Center for Discovery on Wednesday in Lubbock. The program kicks off at 9:00 with registration and runs until 1:00. Registration is $20 and can be paid at the door. They’re also reporting 13,732 hospitalizations state-wide due to the coronavirus.
