LOCAL: Hereford ISD and College 1st are hosting a series of academic camps for HISD students next week. Dinosaur World camp is open to Pre-K and Kindergarten students and will be Tuesday from 9:00-3:00 at Tierra Blanca. Environmental Engineering camp is open to 6th-11th graders and will be Wednesday from 1:00-6:00 at the Civic Center. Thursday and Friday Space Exploration camp will be at the Civic Center open to 1st-5th graders. Registration deadline is 4:00 Monday, call 806-363-7600 to register……The Lion’s Club Carnival is at the Bull Barn tonight and tomorrow. The Lion’s Club is selling their world-famous hamburgers tonight from 5:00-10:00……San Jose Jamaica is tomorrow from 11:00-8:30 at Dameron Park. Live music, food and games will all be part of the action in the park tomorrow……Funeral services for Karl King, age 61, are this afternoon at 2:00 at Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors. Karl was a lifelong Hereford resident and 1977 HHS graduate. Mr. King died Saturday……High Plains Underground Water Conservation District is holding a public hearing on the Desired Future Conditions of the Groundwater Management Area on Tuesday in Lubbock. The hearing is at the HPWD office at 2930 Avenue Q. Comments can also be submitted by email to dfccomments@hpwd.org or mailed to the office in Lubbock. Another hearing will be held July 13th in Canyon……The Texas Parks and Wildlife free fishing day is today. Everyone can fish recreationally without a fishing license in public waters in Texas, except in federal waters
