LOCAL: A massive thunderstorm moved across the Texas Panhandle and High Plains yesterday. The thunderstorm, which lasted over two hours in Hereford, produced .63 inch of rain at KPAN. Shower and thunderstorm chances continue this afternoon and evening mainly across the western Texas Panhandle ……Funeral services for Teresa Paetzold, age 90, are tomorrow at 10:00 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Teresa was a lifelong Hereford resident who died Friday in Amarillo. A viewing is being held today from 4:00-6:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home……Funeral services for Estela Garza Herrera, age 78, will be Friday at San Jose Catholic Church. Estela was a long-time Hereford resident and homemaker. A viewing will be held from 1:00-8:00 on Thursday at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Estela died Sunday in Amarillo……Plains Cotton Growers is seeking qualified individuals to volunteer on the Cotton Board, National Cotton Council and Cotton Incorporated.
