LOCAL: The Hereford Lady Whitefaces ended their softball season Saturday, losing to Big Spring in bi-district play 10-3. Congratulations to the Lady Whitefaces and Coach Marquez on a great season……The Herd baseball team starts their playoff run on Friday at 4:30 at Caprock Field in Amarillo. The Whitefaces will take on Lubbock Estacado in bi-district playoff baseball in a best of three series. Game 2 will be Saturday at 11:00 at Caprock Field. KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage……Reyna Rita Ruiz received enough votes to be named Hereford City Commissioner for Place 1 Saturday, defeating Jose Angel Garza, Sr. in the race……Funeral services are pending at Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors for Pauline Maldonado, age 97, who died Saturday, May 1st……The Hereford Food Pantry is open for food pick-up today 12:00-4:00 at 900 North Lee……A Pacific cold front moves into the area this afternoon and evening bringing much needed precipitation chances to the Hereford area. Rain showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely this afternoon.
