LOCAL: The Herd Tennis team is sending four athletes to the state tournament after podium finishes at regionals. K’Linda Mason placed 2nd in girls singles, Luis Avila came in 2nd in boys singles, and Victoria Betzen and Nicky Villalovos placed 2nd in mixed doubles. Liddy Flood and Lanae Blankenship came in 4th in girls doubles at the tournament……The Lady Whitefaces will look to fight back after losing the first of a best of three series against Big Spring yesterday, 13-1. Bi-district playoff action continues Saturday as the Lady Herd travels to Big Spring for a 1:00 first pitch. KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage of the game. If a third game is needed it will be played after game 2 Saturday……Hereford Soccer Club will host Clovis FC at 6:30 tonight at the Hereford Sports and Wellness Sports Corral. The match is open to the public and free. Hereford Soccer Club is comprised of 16-18 year old athletes……Amarillo College is hosting a speaker series to help guide businesses in the panhandle through digital transformation. Greater Amarillo 2025 starts on Tuesday, May 4th and will run through June.
