WEATHER: (July 27, 2021) TUESDAY- High yesterday was 92° at 4:00; this morning’s low was 64° at 7:00. KPANcast: Mostly sunny with a slight chance of isolated thunderstorms this afternoon.

LOCAL: The team of Sid Felan and Davy Gutierrez won the Championship Flight at the 13th Annual Pudge Kendrick Memorial golf tournament at John Pitman Golf Club over the weekend. The two-day total of 121 was one shot better than Colby Marsh and Nate Adams’ 122. Antonio Enriquez and JC Casarez tied Kyler Smith and Andy Reynolds at 128 for 1st place in the first flight…… Amarillo officials reported a 40% increase in crimes involving firearms in 2020 from 2019. There were 294 firearm related crimes in 2019 compared to 414 in 2020. This year, the city has seen 236 incidents, 23 more than this time last year……The 2021 Summer Cheer Camp will be next Monday and Tuesday from 6:00-7:30 each evening. The camp is open to K-5 through 5th grade students and is $10. Register on the home side of Whiteface Stadium prior to Monday’s start……HISD will be providing computer access next week at the Administration Building for school registration. Computers will be available from 8:00-4:30 each day next week……KPAN will be making repairs to our FM Transmitter this evening at 8:00. The FM will be turned off at that time, but AM 860 will continue to carry our signal.
